Our Amazon CAMPAIGN

Work shouldn’t hurt.

An unprecedented corporate monopoly created by the globe’s richest billionaire ever, Amazon directly employs over 800,000 people – and their dangerous and exploitative warehouse policies put many of them directly in harm’s way.

In 2021, there were over 34,000 recorded serious injuries at Amazon facilities in the US. Amazon’s serious injury rate was twice the rate of all other warehouse employers.

And the toll isn’t just physical. It affects associates’ mental health in and out of the warehouse. 69% of Amazon workers report anxiety. Nearly 3 out of 5 have trouble sleeping. More than 2 out of 5 report feeling depressed. More than 1 out of 3 experience panic attacks.

These policies also directly target women and marginalized communities, both of whom are denied fair representation in Amazon’s board rooms.

In 2020, women made up over half of Amazon’s field and customer support workers – but less than a quarter of the company’s senior leadership. 57% of the company’s field and customer support workers were Black and Latinx – but only 8% of Amazon’s senior leaders came from these communities.
